    The Science Communication programme aims at analysing and promoting the role of science in society. It focuses on researching the publicity of science and science communication as well as developing practical skills with the help of relevant professionals.

    Course Description

    After completing the programme, students will have an understanding of the relationship between science and publicity, how science communication functions in society, and how to produce popularised accounts of science and research for various media. The programme consists of 20 credits, and 15-20 students from different faculties are accepted, mainly postgraduate students.

    The teaching is supported by the research group in science communication, which has studied the treatment of environmental issues in the media, the popular image of gene technology, science programmes in TV and radio, medicine and publicity, health communication, and expertise in media.
